Blessing #3 - My Sight

Oh, how blessed I am to have good eyesight!  I cannot even imagine what I would do were I to lose it.  How would I do my sewing and knitting and all of my little crafty projects?  No longer would I be able to have my independence...no longer would I be able to drive.....the list just goes on and on. One of the ladies who knits at our local knitting shop is blind, but she is a wonderful knitter.  She chats away as she knits along and is absolutely amazing and a real inspiration to be around.  Yes, I am very blessed to have my sight.

Hi Genie! I love all your beautiful squares so far, and the stories/explanations behind them as well! I have to admit, I've worried what if I couldn't see.. what if I get arthritis.. So I'm very grateful for my health!.. (I just haven't gotten to that square yet! Soon!).. Nice to meet you! ~tina

Thank you so much for the nice comment. It has been well over 40 years since I did any REAL embroidery so I’m feeling like a real beginner. This stitchalong is turning out to be very meaningful, and It’s making me do some serious thinking. Coming up with a way to express the blessings in embroidery is requiring a lot of thought, but I am loving every minute of it. Please come and visit again.

What a great blessing. I am finding with this project that I have needed stronger glasses (big smile) but I am very thankful that I can see! Great little square!
Blessings,
Debbie

The glasses are a real problem for me, too. I’m having some eye strain and headaches, but at least I am blessed with the vision. For that I am so thankful.
